The MSU Plant Sciences and Plant Pathology Department is working to sustain food systems
and natural resources through research and education.
An exciting feature of this department is the diversity of programs in Plant Biology,
Crop Science, Plant Pathology, Horticulture, Mycology, Plant Genetics and Entomology.
The department offers BS, MS, and Ph.D. degree programs with a current enrollment
of 100 undergraduate and 20 graduate students. The department has state-of-the-art
laboratory and plant-growth facilities. Additionally, student and faculty researchers
have access to seven research centers distributed across the state of Montana. The
department is also home to five service labs, with facilities and programs that directly
benefit the agricultural economy of Montana.
